south china sea

south china sea can also be called as a time bomb in indo Pacific as it is a place of conflict between many sovereign nation's including china,Taiwan, Vietnam, Philippines, brunei, Malaysia and Indonesia.
The main question arises why so many nations have dispute here. The reasons are many:
•its account for 3.8 trillion global trade annually which is a third of global trade
•80 percent of total energy import of china and 40 percent of it's trade passes through south china sea
• According to world Bank there is a reserve of 7 billion of oil reserves and 900 trillion cubic metre of natural gas.
So it is obvious that it is a very important for these nation and specially for china.

South china sea not only includes the conflict of maritime control of the sea but also the conflict of island situated there like spartly island.
NINR DASH LINE
The main cause of conflict is the nine dash line . It is the imaginary boundaries situated in South China Sea which claims the majority part of the sea as the Chinese territory.
A country can extract minerals from the sea upto 200 nautical miles away from there sea shore but china is claiming beyond it . Which made china the most disturbing nation in the conflict.

THIRD PARTY REACTIONS
South China Sea is a conflict between various small nation against china . China being the largest Navy by size and have the 3rd largest airforce along with it's largest army in the world. So it is impossible for small nation to tackle Chinese adversaries. So the big nation have entered the conflict

Countries like USA Australia Japan and India have strongly criticised the claims of china.

USA secretary has called the actions of china as unlawful. USA has deployed it's strongest Navy fleet the seventh fleet in the info Pacific in a sense to show support to various other small nations.

India have never openly criticised china in any matter which is not related to it but the Chinese Navy have been seen many times in Indian ocean so that it become necessary for us to criticise china and support other small nations.

Many European countries , Australia ,South Korea Singapore etc have openly criticised china for it's action

Japan back in 2008 formed a group quad with Australia India and USA for only regional cooperation but in course of time as Chinese military might has increased this group has been seen as the counter of China's increasing power
Solution
No solution is visible right now in near future because of the dominance of china in the region
